  COUNSELING SERVICES

St Joseph Family Center, one of Spokane’s premier nonprofit agencies, offers a full clinical facility for counseling and related services.  The Center is licensed by the Department of Social and Health Services as a Counseling and Psychotherapy Services provider and a Psychiatric Treatment provider.  The Counseling Department is staffed with three licensed marriage and family therapists, a licensed mental health counselor, a licensed psychologist, a nationally certified counselor, a counseling intern, an intake coordinator, and a psychiatric nurse practitioner.

Services include individual counseling for children, adolescents, and adults, couples counseling, and marriage and family counseling.  Our clinicians have a variety of specialties, including trauma-related issues, co-occurring mental health and substance use issues, parenting, ADHD, depression, anxiety, blended families, and severe and persistent mental disorders.  Counseling clients are eligible to receive medication evaluations and medication management services through our psychiatric nurse practitioner.  When appropriate, counseling Department staff refers to other St. Joseph Family Center departments, including body therapy and spirituality.  Several groups are also offered, including Men and Anger, Women and Anger, Parenting, and Parenting Children of Divorce.

St. Joseph Family Center Counseling Department accepts most insurance plans and also offers services on a sliding fee scale based on household income and family size when presented with documentation of that income.  To begin the process of admission to counseling services, please contact the Intake Coordinator at 509-483-6495.
