This three-hour seminar will help parents who are separating or divorcing to understand and deal with their children’s needs during and after a divorce. Research has shown that continued conflict between parents during a marriage or after the divorce process does the most damage to children.
Topics addressed and discussed include:
* Effects of divorce/separation on children at different developmental stages
* Common ways children get caught in the middle
* Communication skills to better handle conflict in the children’s best interest
* Negotiating Mom’s house and Dad’s house
* Stages of grieving and moving on
Parents who are in the process of separating their relationship will find this beneficial for helping their children adjust with the least amount of trauma.
This seminar satisfies the court’s requirement for individuals who are divorcing or involved in custody issues.
Classes are on the first Tuesday or third Thursday of each month 6:00 –
